This is A TRULY CHALLENGING AND EXCITING OPPORTUNITY WITH A MAJOR GLOBAL FINANCIAL SERVICES INSTITUTION to help define and improve their application security across all platforms!

The MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE WILL BE TO WORK ON DEVELOPING NEW SOLUTIONS AND POTENTIALLY REFINING EXISTING SOLUTIONS WITH RESPECT TO SECURITY ON THE ORGANISATION'S CORE APPLICATIONS. This will involve working with various IT teams including DBAs, Architecture, network engineering, application support and software development.

THE ROLE WILL INVOLVE THE FOLLOWING DUTIES:

Implementing security controls to existing applications and future ones to b developed

Coordinating security technology and process agreement between various IT and/or business teams

Ensuring application architecture, config, access controls and monitoring meet the organisations' expected application security controls and process expectations

Ensure secure coding practices are followed by development teams

Making sure Database management security meet's the organisation's expectations

Making sure web application security meet's the organisation's expectations

Conducting security assessments when required

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES:

Experience of securing application technologies

An understanding of ISO 27001/27002

A BANKING OR FINANCIAL SERVICES BACKGROUND IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE

UNDERSTANDING THE APPLICATION OF SECURITY TO BANKING APPLICATIONS IN AREAS SUCH AS LOANS, CASH MANAGEMENTS, FX, SETTLEMENT, ETC

A KNOWLEDGE OF OPERATING SYSTEMS AND DATABASE SECURITY CONTROLS

AN UNDERSTANDING OF APPLICATION AND INTEGRATION SOFTWARE SUCH EG WEBSPHERE

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
