Application Security Consultant/Penetration Tester - Amsterdam

APPLICATION SECURITY CONSULTANT (PENETRATION TESTER)

As an international blue chip company who in growinng its EMEA Threat and Vulnerability practice, we require the services of an APPLICATION SECURITY CONSULTANT (PENETRATION TESTER), Working on a contract, based in THe Netherlands.

The candidate will be responsible for leading application penetration testing and security assessment consulting services, including secure source code review, web application penetration testing, and secure development life cycle review. The role is based in our Amsterdam Office, but may require some travel, in the EU, for wider integration with the EMEA team over the short to mid-term. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for understanding the landscape and business context in which application security consulting services are utilised and have a mature understanding of risk to help advise clients effectively.

This position is open to candidates with solid experience in a similar role with at least 3 years in a dedicated penetration testing role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- To lead the delivery of application penetration testing and security assessment services to external clients.
- Involvement in projects end-to-end from sale through to delivery.
- To manage time and workload on individual and team engagements, cooperating with clients and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Keeping current with vulnerabilities, attacks, and countermeasures.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

- ESSENTIAL:
- Highly technical with a deep knowledge of hacking and penetration testing techniques, methodologies and tools, covering web application testing and infrastructure testing as a minimum.
- Excellent report writing skills coupled with an acute attention to detail.
- An ability to scope and deliver security projects on time and within budget.
- A strong work ethic, articulate with good communication skills.
- Knowledge of application security, source code review and secure development life cycle review an advantage.
- Knowledge of secure coding principles supported by broad information security experience.
- ADVANTAGEOUS:
- Expert knowledge of programming languages: Java, .NET, C. Development background Crest Certified or equivalent
