Application SAP APO/Planning Expert

CONSULTANT POSITION DESCRIPTION

THE CONSULTANT WILL BE PART OF THE APPLICATION MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT AND WILL REPORTS TO HEAD OF APPLICATION MGT.

HOWEVER, AS INDICATED HERE ABOVE, THE CONSULTANT WILL BE FULL TIME ALLOCATED TO THE SUPPLY CHAIN PROJECT AND WILL EITHER:

WORK AS APPLICATION EXPERT WITHIN A DELIVERY STREAM AND BY THIS REPORT TO A PROJECT STREAM LEAD
-

WORK AS APPLICATION EXPERT AND DELIVERY STREAM LEAD, REPORTING TO THE SUPPLY CHAIN PROJECT LEADER.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Participate as planning/APO functional expert to the different phases of the supply chain project. Note that the position can evolve alongside the project life cycle, personal results and competence of the consultant.

EXPECTED ACTIVITY DURING THE BLUE PRINT PHASE

UNDERSTAND THE NEW SUPPLY CHAIN PROCESS AND ORGANIZATION SETUP WITH A FOCUS ON PLANNING PROCESS

UNDERSTAND AND ASSESS THE HIGH LEVEL IT ARCHITECTURE/PROCESS DESIGN

PARTICIPATE TO TO-BE SOLUTION DESIGN WORKSHOP

DEVELOP PROTOTYPES AND PROVIDE SOLUTION DESIGN TRAINING TO BUSINESS

DRIVE AND CONTROL THE EXTERNAL PARTIES IN DELIVERING THE GAP ANALYSIS/BLUE PRINT DOCUMENTATION

CONTRIBUTE TO THE WRITING OF FUNCTIONAL BLUE PRINT/GAP ANALYSIS DOCUMENT

QA BLUE PRINT/GAP ANALYSIS DOCUMENT

ASSESS THE INITIAL APO SYSTEM INSTALLATION

DESCRIPTION OF MANDATORY FIELD

1. Strong IT functional and business process experience within the supply chain domain with a focus on planning areas such as demand planning, advanced production planning and Scheduling

2. Strong functional/technical experience/expertise in SAP APO 7.0 in the next modules DP, PP/DS and in Data mart for demand planning + good integration expertise in SAP R3 and SAP BW .

3. Proven ability and experience to assess business requirements, design solutions, produce functional analysis/technical document, implement and document solutions, test and training within big projects and big multinational companies.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCES:

High Expertise in SAP APO 7.0, specially in regards to DP and PP/DS.

Expertise should include - Data mart and data modelling

Expertise in SNP is a plus

Good background expertise in SAP R3 SD/MM/PP + related APO integration. Other modules are additional assets.
