For our client, an international company in the Pharma Industry based in Basel are we looking for a

APPLICATION PORTFOLIO MANAGER (MIGRATION/DEPLOYMENT PROJECT)

The Application Portfolio Manager is responsible for handling all delivery and portfolio aspects for current application and coordinates the migration from Windows 7, 8 to Windows 10 as part of the Win10+ project.

PROJECT BACKGROUND:
Windows 10+ project for the global Windows 10 migration has launched and we are seeking support for the project initiation and define phase. Extension of the role past these phases desired if candidate is a good fit.

The following items will be upgraded:
* Windows 7 to Windows 10
* Internet Explorer 10 to Internet Explorer 11
* Microsoft Office 2010 to Microsoft Office 2016
* Packaged application available for Windows 7 and 8 to be reviewed and migrated to Windows 10

This translates to an impact on globally (all sites and business functions). Furthermore the project is expected to have many dependencies to other business and IT endeavors that need to be identified and managed accordingly.

Within the project the Packaged Applications Management stream is handling all Application Portfolio activities regarding packaged applications (coordination, engagement with Business Application Owners, creation and delivery)

PURPOSE:
The role is to cover the following aspects of the packaged Application Stream: coordinate and create all necessary changes for all the packaged application that are in scope for the Windows 10+Project.Work closely with stakeholders, with IT partners and ensure that the timelines of the projects are committed.

TASKS:

- Responsible for accepting customer requests and managing all delivery and portfolio aspects of (a) software running on client (Windows and Mac) and (b) software running virtualized on the SmartWeb terminal services environment.
- Manage all delivery and portfolio aspects for applications that are running on platforms as Windows, Mac and Smartweb
- Coordination of change requests throughout the life cycle of the application
- Coordinates and implements configuration items administration
- Implements new releases and sets up standards for operational management
- Manages incidents, problems, changes and releases.
- Complies with OLAs and QA requirements.
- Interface with functional teams to coordinate all customer-impacting activities, such as release management, change management, QA, etc.
- Manage internal and external customer situations including problem resource management, internal and external communication, and overall escalation.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum of 2 years' Experience in migration/deployment projects (eg rollout projects), ideally in the application coordination area
- Familiar with Client Computing and SW Distribution capabilities in a global environment.
- HPSM tool knowledge
- ITIL Service Management certification (Foundation required, Practitioner and experience strongly preferred)
- Completes tasks and assignments with a strong customer focus and a highly responsive service delivery and support ethic
- Excellent coordination and organizational skills. Effectively manage many different tasks simultaneously. 5 PKT
- Responsible and reliable
- Strong communication skills
- Energy and drive to deliver through team
- Takes a proactive, collaborative and supportive approach when interacting with colleagues
- Experience in international environment
- Very good communication skills in English

NICE TO HAVES

- HPSM tool knowledge
- Background in Application Portfolio Management
- ITIL Foundation certification or relevant experience in Service Management
- Project Management skills
- SCCM as distribution tools, App-V
- German, Spanish

STARTING DATE: 17.5.2016
DURATION: TILL 31.12.2016 (AN EXTENSION MIGHT BE POSSIBLE)
LOCATION: AREA OF BASEL (REMOTE WORK AN OPTION UP TO 20%, PRIOR APPROVAL REQUIRED.)
