JOB DESCRIPTION

Application packager - Tech review engineer

DESCRIPTION

Discovery of desktop applications and create packaging requirements along with App owner

ACTIVITIES

- Check existing documents and media availability 
- Coordinate with customer to get information and media 
- Coordinate with App owner and vendor for technical information on the media 
- Gather application configuration and requirement from Business 
- Gather Application installation source/media. 
- Identify prerequisites for applications 
- Conduct technical assessments to the application 
- Gather license requirement 
- Create package request
- Coordinate with business for test instruction or requirements 
- Conduct UAT 
- Be single point of technical contact for the applications

REQUIREMENTS

-Good understanding of Scripting within the context of application packaging
-Ability to use vendor supplied packaging tools to create software packages
-Windows 7 packaging experience
-Experience creating MSI packages
-Solid understanding of testing, testing environments, and deployments
-English communication skills (written and oral)
-Fluent in French speaking
-Ability to create, collect, and understand log files
-Experience with QA/QC processes
-Experience creating packages for Microsoft applications

Qualifications

-Three years or more experience in application services field
-Two years or more experience creating application packages

Nice to have:

-Experience creating packages for MS APP-V 4.6 or MS MED-V deployment.
-64-bit packaging or imaging experience

NOTE:

CANDIDATE MUST HAVE EXCELLENT VERBAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS.
