Application Packager/SOE Developer

Looking for 2 Application Packagers/SOE Developers for a late November start through until 30 June 2015.

This position includes 2nd and 3rd level maintenance and support such as routine system administration, availability of systems, and solution design and implementation. They will be required to meet the demands of essential BAU including patching, support and high priority project activities.

The successful candidate will be working within the Desktop team under the supervision of the Desktop Team Leader to provide day to day Desktop environment BAU support such as:

- Undertaking troubleshooting and incident resolution;
- Actioning Requests for Service;
- Contributing to infrastructure design and implementation;
- Creating operational support documentation; and
- Patching;
- Liaising with key stakeholders including Change Management, IT Security, Testing and Business Engagement;
- Other duties as required.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following:

- Responsibility for the end to end Desktop environment support including SOE design, development and deployment
- Application packaging and deployment;
- Group policy management;
- Desktop hardware and software evaluation and sociability testing;
- Desktop hardware and software asset reporting;
- Liaising with key stakeholders including Change Management, IT Security, Testing and Business Engagement;
- Communicating with clients in relation to SOE and application deployment activities;
- Undertaking troubleshooting and rectification activities;
- Providing on-call support;
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to key stakeholders.
- Creating operational support documentation; and
- Experience in ANY of the following technologies is desired:
- Windows Server
- Windows 7
- Windows 8
- Windows Server
- Microsoft Systems Centre Configuration Manager
- Operating system deployment using task sequencing
- Application packaging and deployment
- Scripting (Powershell, VBScript, Batch)
