Application Packager - Remote

COMPUCOM is looking for 4 to 5+ years' exp candidates to WORK REMOTELY FROM HOME (WFH) but need to be local to Minneapolis area. Candidates will be required to have high-speed Internet service (ISP) at home for the duration of the project. Initial 2-week training will be at a client site.

Candidates must be able to work with minimal direction but will receive direction from a Lead who is on site, and candidates will interface with the customer on a regular basis so soft skills are critical. Candidates should also have patching experience in the client space (Windows XP and Windows 7). Familiarity with automated patching via Marimba is a plus.

Candidates will also be responsible for identifying, researching and troubleshooting patch installation and remediation issues.

APPLICATION PACKAGER will perform day-to-day activities for Patch Management of a Windows environment that include deployment of patches and updates, adherence to patching schedules and troubleshooting of patching related issues. The Patch Management Specialist operates within defined operating model and processes to provide ongoing Patch Management support for Operating Systems across the environment.

REQUIREMENTS

VPN, REMOTE DESKTOP AND LAPTOP VNC REMOTE DESKTOP, ACTIVE DIRECTORY, APPLICATION EXP A MUST. JAVA, WINDOWS XP AND 7, MARIMBA APPLICATIONS A PLUS.

Contract position with possible extension.

Background checks are required due to access level. Must be able to pass Backgrpound and Drug test.
