A recognised, multinational organisation urgently seeks an Application Manager with a highly technical Linux-focussed background and a willingness to learn new technology and bespoke applications.

Deeply skilled systems administration skills across RHEL 5/6 to RHCE level with a deep affinity across Open Source, High Performance Computing networks and scientific/parallel computing, you will govern all technical aspects of bespoke applications covering support, operational releases and Solutions Architecture

You will have experience across JBoss/Tomcat/Web applications, Scripting (SHELL, BASH, Perl etc). HPC networks and parallel computing, LAMP, and Any experience with R Linux and use of RStudio will be welcomed.

You will also work on a specific year-long project within an internationally dispersed team. As such, Business Analyst/Project Management ability will be welcomed.

You will be an excellent communicator, open, able to liaise with internal customers and remote teams on both a written and face to face level. You will possess the ability to apply lateral thinking skills on day to day tasks.

This is role is available as a contract-to-permanent or a permanent basis and is based on the East Coast, New Jersey. Travel to Europe for training is to be expected. Immediate interviews are available.
