On behalf of our client, a renowned Pharmaceutical company in Basel, Swisslinx are looking for a highly dedicated and competent Application/Infrastructure Specialist for Linux platform.
This is a contract placement in Basel.
The ideal start date is ASAP.
In this challenging contract role you will be working with different stakeholders on their Linux application needs and translating this to core infrastructure needs provided in partnership with their service providers.
You will be responsible for the following tasks:
Assist on the delivery of the technical operations linux application environment
Ensure installation, configuration and operation of the environments to achieve the performance and agility of the various applications supported
Contribute to the concept, planning and execution of projects
In order to be considered for this exciting role you are required to have:
Degree in IT Technologies or equivalent work experience
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is advantageous
Knowledge of scientific application build and tuning, Linux system administration, high performance compute and storage systems, Scripting and a devops approach to platform administration
Scientific knowledge or awareness - bioinformatics, cheminformatics, life sciences
Excellent communication skills
Fluent English language skills (written and spoken) & German would be an advantage
