APPLICATION ENGINEER - UNIX, BANKING, APPLICATION MONITORING
My client, a large international organisation, are looking for an experienced Application Engineer to join their team based in Brussels for an initial 6 months. Ideally the consultant will be able to speak both French and Dutch, but if you can speak one of the languages you will still be considered.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
To ensure applications 24/7 availability.
To provide support and to monitor application performance.
Provide timely call resolution, technical support expertise and internal help services to all application within production environment of the bank.
Ensure that standards are observed.
Undertake analysis of applications and associated products and determine approaches, which will improve their performance and stability.
Realize intake of new application
Control and report any application performance degradation by monitoring application performance.
Update and modify documentation and working procedures as appropriate in line with the company quality policy.
Function as a level1 for the IT helpdesk.
Involved within incident process management with 3P.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge of Unix and Windows Scripting.
Experience within application monitoring.
Experience with Tomcat/jboss/Apache
Previous experience within following applications is an added value: Sopra core banking, Documentum, Kofax Total Agility, Newtest
Fluent in French and Dutch (at minimum one of the 2 languages)
Ready to be involved within a 24/7 duty systems
