Application Engineer - 3rd Level Support (m/f)

For our client, a global R&D Chip Provider we are looking for an Application Engineer - Technical Customer Support (m/f) on a freelance basis for Munich (f/m)

Project Start: ASAP

Project duration: 6 Months (2 year project)

Location: Munich

Languages: English

Main Tasks:

* Worldwide 3rd Level technical/engineering support with focus on WAN Interfaces/Modems for Copper (DSL, G.Fast) and Fibre (PON).

* Analysis of reported technical customer issues. Issue solving in close cooperation with internal R&D and global support teams

* Analyze and designate board level and firmware issues and assign to correct teams.

* Design-In support for top customer projects. Technical support for opportunity development, promotion and qualification. Individual customer requirements engineering, support coordination, issues tracking and status reporting.

* 60%/40% Technical/Support

* Main technical interface for selected key customers and strategic partners.

Skills:

* Degree in Engineering (Masters preferred) - Computer Science/Electrical Eng./Telecommunications

* Experience with all levels of support from L1 - L3.

* Experience in measurement techniques (Spectrum analyzer, logic analyzer, GHz-oscilloscope, BERT, Protocol Tester) desired

* Experienced in C/C++, embedded Linux and real-time Programming, Communication SW / Protocol Stacks desired

* Troubleshooting and signal integrity skills

* Strong customer orientation

* At least 5 years working experience.

Languages:

Written and spoken English know-how is demanded, all documentation will be in German and English
