Our customer business unit GT S is looking for an Application Engineer to the Operation Support EU team. The team consists of Application engineers and Application designers currently located in Oslo Norway and Stockholm Sweden.
An application engineer is responsible to maintaining 100% uptime on the system as well as making sure that we are always delivering within our SLA agreements.
We design, plan, build, test and implement new technical solutions. We support the Business with operation related investigations, verifying, planning and conduct application upgrades, optimizing application performance, documentation, managing changes, business continuity planning and testing.
The Application Engineers works closely with other parts of the global organization and virtual teams are commonly formed to be able to effectively implement new requirements, investigate issues etc.
The team provides support 24 hours 7 days a week for systems used within the financial industry.
Now we search for a person with experience of support Quantum and MQ Series solutions running on Windows platform we also want you to have knowledge of UNIX and large Real Time transaction systems. It's a plus if you have knowledge of the Finical Industry.
The job includes:
Being part of all activities regarding the application such as handling of incoming issues, new functionality (requirements), launch of new versions etc.
Acting as specialist in operational issues, questions and requirements.
Planning, testing and implementing changes to the system
Taking part in different projects regarding current and new customers.
Handling all incoming 2nd line application support issues.
Maintain operational documentation needed for second line operation
Managing smaller projects and independently carry out our parts of large implementation projects
Bachelor of Science or equivalent.
Broad technology base and wide range technology knowledge from infrastructure to functionality.
3-5 years work experience from operation of large and complex computer systems.
Deep knowledge in; Quantum, Windows and Unix
MQ Series
Knowledge of Scripting is an advantage
Knowledge of large, Real Time transaction systems.
Excellent language skills in written and spoken English and Swedish.
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of the financial industry.
To suit this position you are curious and willing to learn and develop but also used to assume responsibility. Furthermore you are very analytical and self-motivated.
Is an off-hour work schedule expected? Yes
Explain: Rolling On call schedule with Night on call weekdays and planned work on weekends
