Application Engineer (Professional Level)

For a major client in Basel, Harvey Nash is urgently looking for an Application Engineer to work on a project from June 15th till end of December 2013 with extension option.

You will perform the typical duties of an Application Engineer and you will need:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience: performing analytical activities & all software development tasks, incorporating technical & operational requirements into IT solutions for clients
- Fluent English (any other language is a plus)

Main tasks and experience:
- Implementing applications
- Constructing models in terms of data, functions and/or objects
- Designing components and interfaces, specification and implementation of interfaces for software
- Setting up and maintaining environments for developing and testing
- Creating & maintaining project documentation (test, application, user manual)
- Developing or choosing the appropriate methods, techniques, standards, guidelines and tools for software development
