Application Engineer

Harvey Nash is looking for an Application Engineer for a 12 month project in Switzerland.

The role is for a candidate performing SAP logistics, finance and controlling/system quality assurance.

You are responsible for
- actively supporting S2P Program roll out projects on a global basis inclusive operational support, applying Roche Informatics Project Management Methodology
- Integrating in a virtual team (technicians, SAP- & ARIBA Experts as well as CLM- & SRM-experts) and liaising with business project team, focus ensuring quality of integration & testing
- Supporting project management with creating a country-specific testing concepts, supporting business processes required in line with global S2P Program's deployment
- Building on the global core that has been developed
- Supporting S2P team when leveraging best practices & experience made in previous roll-outs
- Exploiting synergies and ensure best practice sharing for the projects of responsibility across Informatics
- Participating & supporting smooth hand-over into operations

Requirements

- Approx. more 5 years' experience in SAP modules/-solutions listed before
- SAP R/3 MM (MM-PUR), PM, CLM, SRM, FI/CO: FI (GL, AP, AA), CO (CC, IO, PS), OPENTEXT VIM
- SAP experience (conceptual design and customising of SAP R/3 system, operational support)
- Understanding of finance- & logistics integration for pro-curement process as well as IDOC handling
- TIBCO interface handling
- Knowledge of local regulations eg. Vertex (tax determina-tion System) in America on advantage
- Knowledge of Nota Fiscale Brazil & ARIBA procurement system on advantage
- Knowledge in the area of Prepayment, Asset Management, Withholding tax
- Proven knowledge of SAP MM, PM, FI/CO, procurement knowledgeCLM & SRM are on advantage
- Preferably University/Technical University or equivalent practical experience
- Participated in at least one complex project across functions & geography (on advantage)
- Ability to work in a geographically distributed project team
- Experience in procurement & finance processes in order to be able to understand business requirements and priorities and delivering business valued solutions
- Able to translate requirements or specifications into test documentation, focus Procurement & Finance processes
- Strong customer orientation & demonstrated sense of ur-gency/empowerment.
- Ability to work under pressure
- Fluent both verbally as in writing in English and German
