Application Discovery Consultants

We currently have a urgent requirement for an experienced Application Discovery consultant to work with us on a project based on our clients site in London.

Key Responsibilities:
Extensive knowledge & experience of resolving 2nd - 3rd line application issues,
Liaise with the business users at all levels to attain a full understanding of each application (installation & support)
Work closely with the project manager to verify that the list of Servers to be assessed is complete.
Ensure that the existing SharePoint environment meets the minimum hardware and software requirements to run the Quest toolset
Install the tools and scripts required to gather information about the current SharePoint environment
Complete the pre-flight checklist prior to installation of the data collection tools.
Installation of the required agents.
Perform the data collection using Quest tools.
Ability to analyse the collected data and review this against Dell/customer best practices.
Experience of migrating the data/content to the new environment
Maintaining the necessary documentation on issue investigation and resolution,

Skills and Experience
Minimum of 3 years Experience of Application Discovery in a Large financial organisation.
Experience of capturing & documenting the full application installation process (creating step by step guide for each App package),
Troubleshoot application installation defects, identifying potential fixes and verify the correct implementation,
You will have understanding of the defect life cycle, Liaising with the required software supplier/s in order to get to the root cause of issues.
Proven experience in SQL, Service Desk, SharePoint (release, change processes), and Apps support, Understanding of specific website and application support.
