Architect Application Development Cobol .Net SOA
The department, is continuously working on its existing back-and front- office applications. Together with the usual maintenance-effort, there is an increasing of projects (small, medium & large) to be realised in the coming years, such as integration with partner's application in a multi-distribution context and transform some major processes in Straight Through mode.
We are actively searching an Insurance Application Development Functional Architect who will work in the 'Architecture team', that is the link between the business team (delivers business requirements) and the IS 'factory' (functional and technical analysis & programming).
The main activities of this team are:
-Solution & Application Architecture (Functional & Technical) Design and Analysis -Architecture Reference (Functional & Technical) documentation
-Functional & Technical Support and Coaching -Application Design Monitoring
-System testing (preparation & execution)
-Define & Improve the process, the tools used in the design phase.
The Application Development Functional Architect deals on a daily basis with senior management, peers and junior staff, both internally and externally, with business and professional skills in Information Technology.
To function effectively, the Application Development Functional Architect is required to conceptualize and think abstractly, work and manage in a technically complex and heterogeneous environment, and effectively communicate with all levels of management.
We expect from the Architect to be result oriented
To drive the requirements process in order to align the business requirements & the solution definition
To drive the solution definition with the subject matter experts of the impacted domains & to ensure their active participation in the solution design
To ensure during that the implemented solution matches with the initial design & if needed to adapt (design or implementation).
Strong interest for Business Process Analyses
Experience
5 to 10 year experience in Application Development
5 - 10 Good knowledge in modelling applications and processes,
Functional Analysis
Functional experience required
Mandatory
*5 - 10 years in a similar function and Solution Analyses
*Deep knowledge and experience of architecture: Service Oriented Architecture, design patterns, architecture methodologies
*Building and construction functional design of insurance applications parts
*Preferable Experience in Functional Enterprise Architecture (through projects)
*Insurance and/or Banking applications
Must be able to speak either French or Dutch and English to a good standard
