Application Development Analyst

Yoh has a contract opportunity for an APPLICATIONS DEVELOPMENT ANALYST to join our client in Collegeville, PA.

JOB OVERVIEW:

Act as a senior technical member of the Web Services team, you will work closely with the Enterprise Architecture Team to design and develop scalable web services solutions to support different businesses information needs that will enable IMS to bring data from disparate sources, aggregate it and make it available for client use.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Design and develop re-usable web service components and processes for implementations throughout the enterprise.
- Ensure that the best practices are followed across different components of the web services tier.
- Provide technical ownership for one or more web services tier components.
- Maintain deep understanding of IMS web services tier toolsets and components.
- Maintain deep understanding of the interaction of web services tier with other tiers (eg Business Intelligence Tier.).
- Plan, conduct and coordinate the application of web service design and implementation processes to existing and future web services tier offerings.
- Partner with the business units to develop effective solutions that solve business challenges.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- A minimum of six (6) years in the IT industry with hands-on experience as a Java developer.
- Required skill set (in order of importance):
- A minimum three (3) years of experience in web services implementations using Java.
- A minimum three (3) years of experience in using XML, XQuery, XPath, and XSLT.
- A minimum three (3) years of experience in SQL development on any RDBMS.
- A minimum three (3) years of experience in using SVN/Git and Maven.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE (IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):

- Experience using UNIX Shell Scripts (ksh) and SQL - Oracle.
- Experience using Tomcat, Jenkins and Apache Axis2.
- Experience using Apache Synapse (ESB) or any Message-oriented Middleware experience.
- Some experience using HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript [JQuery] and AJAX.
- Some experience using Business Process development using any BPM suite (WSO2, JBoss, IBM BPM, Oracle, Tibco, Talend, etc.)
