Application Developer/Web Designer

Our client is a world renowned computer components company seeking an APPLICATIONS DEVELOPER to test > 30 in-house software applications to be compatible with Win8 and non-standard browsers (IE9, IE10, Chrome, etc). Once tested, the candidate will develop/enhance the code bases so all applications are working. Additionally, some new application development may also be required.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES: Software development and testing tasks in an AGILE environment

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- 4+ years of direct work experience
- Clean, modern design sensibility, with user-centered focus
- Command of typography, color, composition, hierarchy, and an understanding of how these elements work together for a design solution
- Strong CSS skills
- Proficiency in HTML and JavaScript
- Ability to build wireframes and mock-ups that can be easily translated into real web applications
- Ability to create standards-compliant, cross-browser compatible HTML and CSS (including responsive design)
- Experience creating web graphics, user interfaces, icons, style sheets, templates, and layouts for use in product development and customer-facing marketing communications
- Previous web design experience and experience working in and AGILE environment a plus
