Application Developer/Tester Job

APPLICATION DEVELOPER/TESTER needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Overland Park, KS.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- HP ALM
- SQL Scripting
- HP SQL Developer
- QTP or like test Scripting package with VB Scripting
- MS Office packages, in particular Word, Excel, Outlook
- WinRunner, LoadRunner
- SOAP UI and Jamelion

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Developer will be reviewing requirements and design documents in order to determine testing requirements
- Developer will be generating test cases and leading reviews of the test cases with peers, development and analyst teams. Testing will be with new functionality and regression testing.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Good problem solving skills in regards to a test role and environment
- Developer must have experience in an application development environment with structure that follows a standard waterfall software development life cycle.
- Developer must have experience agile development/testing environment
- Minimum three to five (3 - 5) years of experience with generating test automation scripts
- Minimum two to five (2 - 5) years experience running testing for GUI, API and batch jobs
- Minimum two to five (2 - 5) years of experience with DB tools in order to pull test data to be used for testing
- Minimum of two to three (2 - 3) years of experience running load/performance testing
- Minimum of two to three (2 - 3) years of experience working with development team on testing issues
- Willing to support off hour testing and weekends as needed
- Willing to work non standard hours during the week in order to work with offshore teammates
