Application Developer Reporting

For this contract position with a hugely popular Pacific Northwest company, we need someone who can develop Microsoft Access and Excel reports to analyze timesheet data. This candidate will code, test, debug, document, and implement simple to moderate reports and analysis results.

SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- As directed, designs, develops, implements, documents, and tests queries and reports in Access and Excel
- Ensures deliverables are high quality and meets user expectations
- Adheres to software development standards
- Participates in design reviews as needed
- As directed, analyzes business needs and translates business requirements and functional designs into technical designs
- Assists with development of functional designs and resolves design issues

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS

- Relational Database Design theory, Microsoft Access and Excel query and report writing: 2 years of experience
- Analyzing, diagnosing and proposing solutions to user problems: 2 years of experience
- Application development and programming experience: 2 years of experience
- Providing support to various business applications: 2 years of experience
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (including VBA)
- Ability to quickly learn new application systems and technologies
- Knowledge of basic project management framework and methodology
