The Senior Developer is expected to contribute technical expertise in application development for technology projects. As a senior technical contributor, you will collaborate with business partners, Information Technology (IT) teams and other application developers to recommend and deliver complex solutions. The ability to accurately break down complex application designs into component deliverables and estimate design and development timelines is essential to this job function. The Senior Developer will be expected to drive and contribute to the technical design and development throughout the project life cycle.

The candidate will be called upon to resolve escalated software application issues as needed. Performing root cause analysis to identify permanent resolutions to software or business process issues is a required component. The ability to anticipate long term support issues, supervise and collaborate with support teams to ensure complex issues are resolved in a timely manner is essential.

The Senior Developer will also collaborate with team members to recommend new software development technologies and processes. This role will work with application development leads to establish, maintain and ensures compliance with standards for development, testing and documentation. In addition, a senior developer will provide mentorship to others throughout the development and project life cycle.

REQUIRED SKILLS

- Expert knowledge and understanding of Object Oriented Design and development
- Web service development
- Caching strategy and design
- Understanding of test driven development and writing unit test automation
- Experience using common design patterns (Singleton, Command, MVVM)
- Experience accessing data from relational databases (SQL or Oracle or MySQL)
- Comfortable dealing with data in various digital formats (XML/JSON)
- Ability to work independently on assignments through all stages of SDLC
- Comfortable working within a Scrum or agile development environment

TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE

- Expert knowledge of C# and .NET (5 + years)
- Advanced knowledge of ASP.NET MVC (3+ years)
- Web services (Web API, WCF) (3+ years)
- ADO.NET (5+ years)
- T-SQL (5+ years)
- JSON/XML data handling (2+ years)
- Visual Studio (2008/2010/2012) (5+ years)
- TFS or other version control (Git, SVN, CVS) (5+ years)

NICE TO HAVE

- MSMQ Experience
- Strong understanding of new and emerging technologies
- Experience with various web based authentication schemes (Basic Auth, oAuth, ApiKey)
- AppFabric or Membase or Other Caching technology
- MVC Web API
