Application Developer Job

APPLICATION DEVELOPER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Cambridge, MA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Design and implement databases, and web applications for Bioinformatics.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Solid knowledge of Java, comfortable writing web applications and middle-ware, and familiarity with SQL.
- Be able work closely with multiple groups while engaging in independent problem solving, and coding, testing, and deployment.
- Have a strong desire to learn new software (eg Pipeline pilot, open source packages).
- Other items that are not required but would be helpful are: experience with other web interface technologies and/or other programming/Scripting languages for databases interfaces (eg Adobe Flash, Google Web Toolkit, Ruby on Rails, PHP, Perl), and knowledge of molecular biology, statistics and scientific data analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, a related field or equivalent experience with a minimum of two (2) years of programming experience, or a Master's degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
