Application Developer - Java Websphere

My client a well known managed service company is seeking an experienced Application Developer who is highly experienced in WebSphere technologies.

THE ROLE'S DUTIES INCLUDE;

- Perform technical analysis on Production Incidents and identify ways to improve Billing Systems
- Provide design improvement suggestions to architectural and Billing operations team based on business requirements
- Identify areas for code optimization and performance improvement
- Assist in the preparation of test data/ scenarios for validation of system integrity and system stability
- Liaise with product vendors and various business platforms to resolve technical problems
- Complete systems health checks.
- Participate in requirements workshops to identify opportunities for business/ process improvements

MANDATORY SKILLS INCLUDE;

* WebSphere WPS custom development - BPM 7 (for adaptor development and maintenance). J2EE development experience - Spring, Spring Batch & Hibernate are preferred (for support of custom BRM integrated applications). Strong Java experience with some exposure to UI development (Java Swing is required for Customer Centre, Permissions centre etc)

Build/ Deployment/Test Automation experience using some of (Jenkins/SOAP UI/ Maven/SVN/Git/RTC/ANT Scripting) (for release management aspects of the role). SQL/PL/SQL experience (for BRM). Unix bash Scripting (for Tidal
