Application Developer and Support with profound Java knowledge wanted for our Zurich based client in the financial sector.

YOUR EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

- Prior experience in Software and System Engineering with Oracle Databases/SQL, UNIX/Linux and JEE technologies
- Proficiency in developing with Java Application Platforms
- Excellent overall understanding of information technologies
- Ability to efficiently collaborate and communicate with various parties, including senior business managers
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken

YOUR TASKS:

- Performing extensive solution and system engineering with various technologies as well as Java development and architecture work
- Investigating and analysing changes, providing estimates and solutions and challenging Vendor estimates and solutions
- Enhancing and extending existing databases and low level data analysis with SQL
- Integrating and testing of software changes in in-house Java applications or in the vendor software
- Interacting closely and directly with business representatives, other solution engineers, vendors, technical infrastructure and testing
- Managing Quality Assurance of all deliverables, such as software components, unit test cases and documentation as well as ensuring that production stability is always guaranteed
