Application Developer

SUMMARY:

- The ideal candidate will be a passionate Front End developer with a background creating cross-browser compatible web pages.
- They must have a desire to work as a member of a scrum team in a collaborative, innovative, flexible, team oriented environment; utilizing XP-inspired practices such as paired programming.
- They should excel at turning concepts and designs into well formatted, user-friendly web applications via HTML 5, CSS 3, AngularJS and JavaScript libraries such as jQuery and LESS.
- Along with technical excellence, we are seeking someone who is creative, communicative, tenacious and able to contribute to the overall productivity and effectiveness of the team.
- Ideal candidate would also possess one or more of the following: Java programming experience, SQL experience, knowledge of UI/UX best practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- The Front End Developer operates effectively and delivers value as a member of the agile team.
- Also operates effectively and delivers value as an individual for quick turnaround of enhancements and fixes.
- Responsible for meeting expectations and deliverables on time and in high quality.
- Responsible for the development of web applications and components.
- Responsible for the design and development of web pages, dashboards, and web application GUIs.
- Effectively develops clean, well structured, easily maintainable code and adheres to source control practices.
- Utilizes story-boarding and graphic pre-designs where appropriate.
- Demonstrates ability to understand loose requirements and think through repercussions of a design before completing it.
- Demonstrates creative, technical and analytical skills.
- Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively in both technical and business environments.
- Collaborates with team members, stakeholders and others to contribute to vision, architecture and design.

SKILLS:

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum of 3 years of web/UI development experience is required.
- Top tier Front End skills with some basic understanding of how Back End development works.
- Exceptional markup skills utilizing HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
- Expertise in Node JS and AngularJS, ideally with experience utilizing jQuery, LESS or other dynamic Front End libraries.
- Solid understanding of UX and UI design with an emphasis on maximizing usability.
- Experience using source control tools such as Git.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
