Application/Database Support

The candidate will work within the Application and Database Management Support team, but will work full time on a Windows server upgrade project; this will largely involve commissioning new applications and upgrading applications where necessary. The candidate will also be expected to assist with application migrations and cut-overs throughout the period of the project.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- 3rd Party Application Support - (Application and Middleware) installation, configuration, upgrade planning, implementation, preventative maintenance and support
- Troubleshooting of Functional interfaces into Systems
- Microsoft MOSS 2007 Support
- Microsoft IIS Support
- IBM WebSphere 7.5, 8.0 Support
- Development/Enhancement of Processes/Procedures and Standards.
- Stakeholder management
- Support documentation for systems

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

- Ability to problem solve and be proactive when faced with a challenge
- Installations of 3rd party Software implementation, troubleshooting and management skills.
- Excellent process methodology
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well with customers, suppliers and fellow team members.
- Windows operating systems.
- Middleware Application Server software including WebSphere/Weblogic, IIS, .NET etc
- IT Documentation skills
- Comprehensive understanding and/or good working knowledge of RDBMS technologies (to include Oracle and SQL Server platforms).
- Has worked in large project previously, familiar with project delivery structures, methodologies, timelines, organisations etc.
