Application Architect (SOA/Service Management)

The contract is with a consultancy in Brussels to be on an assignment at a large European site (DIGIT B5) SOA/Java Service Management

The responsibilities of DIGIT B.5 include:

- The operation of the H2020 Planning Office for supporting the governance, portfolio management, budget and reporting activities of the partnership and the H2020 Programme of actions;
- The section Development, Architecture and Studies, which includes:
- The operation of a Development Factory for implementing and supporting IT solutions;
- The operation of the H2020 Architecture Office for supporting the SOA actions and the co-ordination of the important IT community of the Research DGs;
- The operation of a Business Analysis team for understanding the business, safeguarding the business knowledge and proposing IT solutions.
- The provision of Service Management and Operations for the H2020 Information Systems. In the context of the H2020 project, Unit B.5 wishes to obtain the services of a skilled Application Architect/Designer experienced in the field of SOA in J2EE environments (Level 3).

The successful candidate will provide application architecture and design services for the eFP7 projects.

The candidate will contribute to the activities listed below (non exhaustive list):

Task 1: Architecture and design of Information Systems (new ones or existing ones) and their integration

Task 2: Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture. Technical interface between the project leaders and the analysts

Task 3: Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users

Task 4: Production of software architecture documents. Assistance in the testing, the technical documentation, the deployment, the evaluation and the reporting.
