The contract is with a consultancy to be on an assignment at a large EUROPEAN site
CONTEXT/INTRODUCTION SMT is the Service Management Tool of the European Commission. DIGIT is responsible for SMT maintenance and evolution. SMT is a corporate and cooperative application used by the IT support teams in all the Directorates General (local helpdesks or service desks, 2nd level service support) and in DIGIT (3rd level central support teams) to support all IT users in the EC. SMT is aligned with ITIL
MISSION We foresee the collaboration of an Application Architect/Designer with at least 2 years of experience in HPE Service Manager and at least 4 years of experience in IT service management related roles. The expert's area of competence is the analysis of the functionalities of the present SMT environment, the identification of areas of improvements and the implementation of new functionalities.
3. TASKS The tasks that are to be performed include: Design customisations for new releases in the n the context of a continuous improvement program. Design and implement Connect-it scenarios Design and implement Web services functionalities. Design and develop customisations in the context of release implementation. Document changes and collaborate in the preparation of documentation of new releases. Provision of technical assistance to other team members. Provide third level support for SMT related issues. Identification of the estimation and risks related to the applications' planning, design and implementation. Analysis of the integrations with other information systems. Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users.
Requires experience of HO Service manager, WEB Services (both SOAP and REST)
