APPLICATION ARCHITECT/DESIGNER (Oracle/JAVA/J2EE/BO)

This contract is with a Consultancy to be on an assignment to an EEC site in central Brussels as follows:- The contractor with an application architect profile will join the team responsible for the development, maintenance and support of the information systems portfolio. S/he will be mainly in charge of the development, maintenance and second level support of applications supporting the implementation of policies and the automation of administrative procedures.

The contractor must have:

- In-depth knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture
- In depth knowledge of applications design
- In depth knowledge of modelling tools
- Good knowledge of Object Oriented Programming languages
- Good knowledge of Enterprise Architecture
- Good knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems
- Good knowledge of business process analysis
- Knowledge of interoperability technology (eg web services, message oriented Middleware, service oriented bus)
- Good redaction skills.
- Ability to give technical presentations.
- Ability to apply high quality standards
- Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application architecture and design
- Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, good communication skills.
- Capability of integration in an international/multi-cultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in team working.

In addition to the above knowledge and skills the contractor must have an in-depth knowledge and proven experience with Oracle, Java, J2EE, UML, JIRA, Selenium, Confluence and Business Objects. S/he should have good analytical skills, be fluent in English and French, and have good drafting skills. English is the main working language.
