Application Architect Contract (Java/Spring/hibernate)

The contract is with a large consultancy to be on assignment to a large European site in central Brussels as follows:-Tasks

The tasks that are to be performed include:

- Design and development of atomic, reusable and responsive GUI components
- Architecture and design of information systems.
- Review of the architecture of existing systems
- Design and development of component architecture and building blocks
- Analysis of the integration of different information systems
- Data analysis and Datamodelling.
- Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture
- Technical interface between the project leaders and the developers
- Production of software architecture documents
- Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users

Assistance in the testing, the technical documentation, the deployment, the evaluation and the reporting

The Application Architect Designer must have:

In-depth knowledge of web programming and Scripting languages (eg Javascript, Actionscript)

- Expertise work experience in the field as follows: J2EE 6, Spring 2.5 and 3, SpringIntegration 2.2, JPA, Hibernate, EJB3, MDB, JMS, Javascript, KendoUI, Bootstrap, JQuery, Oracle Advance Queue, Maven 2/3, Flex (3, 4.5), JMS, JBPM 4.1, Weblogic.
- Good working experience: HTML 5, CSS3, Action Message Format (AMF), JSON, BlazeDS 3.2, XML, Granite Data Services, Action Script, DHTML, Hessian (Flex Remoting), Business Process Management (JBPM).
- Proven experience using: Java Server Pages (JSPs), Java Servlets, Java Architecture for XML Binding(JAXB), Log4j, SLF4j, Java Mail API, Java API for XML Processing (JAXP), JasperReports API, iText, Java API for RESTful Web Services (JAX-RS), JSON, CSS, Junit, JDBC.

Due to the particular nature of a large international organisation such as the European Commission, candidates should also have the following non-technical skills:

- Teamwork spirit and ability to integrate in a multilingual and multicultural environment, on large projects
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to establish, develop and nurture effective working relationships with colleagues and clients
- A quick learning ability, pro-activity and a positive attitude towards work related tasks and issues
- Ability to participate in multilingual meetings.
- Fluent oral and written communication in both English and French.

Ability to write documentation in English.
