APPLICATION ARCHITECT/DESIGNER - JAVA/SOA/XML/XSD/SOAP/JAX-WS/JAXB

Application Architect/Designer required for a client in Brussels.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- In depth knowledge of Java Enterprise architecture, frameworks and development.
- In depth knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture, in particular SOAP based web services
- Good understanding of Java Enterprise Frameworks
- Experienced with standards/APIs: XML, XSD, SOAP, JAX-WS, JAXB, (possibly also JAX-RPC)
- Good redaction skills, ability to give technical presentations.
- Willingness to mix technical work with documentation and coordination.
- Understanding of Oracle Service bus configuration
- Detailed understanding of XML, especially editing of XSD schema definitions.

THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE IS MANDATORY:

- Minimum 18 years of relevant studies and experience after secondary school
- Minimum 2 years' experience in architecture and design of information systems
- Minimum 2 years' experience in development of information systems
- Minimum 2 years' experience with UML or Case Tools
- Experience in Service Bus Architecture
- Experience with relational databases
- Experience in web technologies

THE FOLLOWING SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED:

- Minimum 9 years' professional experience in Java Enterprise technologies.
- The following technical skills would be advantageous:
- Oracle Service Bus
- Weblogic Server
- Ant, Maven, Hudson Scripting.
- Experienced with tools: Eclipse, Ant, SoapUI
- Familiar/experienced with EJB3, JPA, Hibernate
- Familiar/experienced with WSP (WS-Security Policies)

DESCRIPTION OF TASKS

- The development and modification of Java Enterprise applications and components such as Web Services and EJBs.
- Provision of advice and guidelines to the development teams on technology choices and best practices, in particular related to Java Enterprise development.
- Evaluation and testing of deliverables produced by other teams to ensure that they conform to requirements and methodology
- Coordination of updates to the Common data model. This is a collection of XSD files which describe data types returned by web services.
- Configuration of mappings and policies on the Oracle Service Bus .
- Analysis and design of Services implementations in SOA context
- Coordination of releases of inter-dependant applications and web-services.
- Analysis and design of Events production and consumption in EDA context
- Analysis and design of system interfaces, integration patterns, technological components
- Implementation of those technological components, following design phases, in respect of requirements
- Prototyping of technical components, system integration patterns
- Definition of tests scenarios and testing
- Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system
- Documentation of the services and other technical implementations
- Assist with evaluating and testing products delivered by other teams to ensure that they conform to requirements and methodology
- Depending on the circumstances, the expert may be requested to provide assistance or support in the resolution of production issues.
