APPLICATION ARCHITECT/DESIGNER (E--PROCUREMENT, JAVA, Oracle, XML, RUP, UML)
The contract is with a large consultancy in Brussels to be on an assignment at a large European site in Central Brussels as follows:- The assignment is in the area of Corporate Finance and E-procurement
The tasks to be performed include:
Guide the related projects to more integrated solutions and identify areas for improvements related to Java Enterprise technology, enterprise & web content management, XML, portals, interoperability, Web 2.0, application life cycle management
Architecture, design and review of the architecture of information systems
Design and development of component architecture and building blocks
Analysis of the integration of different information systems
Provide expertise in IT messaging technologies and web technologies
Assistance in the testing, the technical documentation, the deployment, the evaluation and the reporting
Production of software architecture documents and technical specifications
Participation in technical working groups
Assure interoperability between electronic Procurement back offices and front offices applications
Promote best practices for using procurement and financial projects.
Knowledge and Skills:- Very good knowledge of the ICT infrastructure technologies and application design with both Client Server and web applications
Excellent knowledge of Java technology and development methodologies
Good knowledge of Oracle database management systems and experience with multi-tiered Java and Oracle-based web applications
Very good knowledge of XML, RUP, UML, Visio and iterative software development is a must
Excellent knowledge using message oriented middle-ware platforms following the event-driven Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles
Expertise work experience in the field as follows: J2EE 6, Spring 2.5 and 3, Spring-Integration 2.2, JPA, Hibernate, EJB3, MDB, JMS, Javascript, KendoUI, Bootstrap, JQuery, Oracle Advance Queue, Maven 2/3, Flex (3, 4.5), JMS, JBPM 4.1, Weblogic
Good working experience: HTML 5, CSS3, Action Message Format (AMF), JSON, BlazeDS 3.2, XML, Granite Data Services, Action Script, DHTML, Hessian (Flex Remoting), Business Process Management (JBPM)
Proven experience using: Java Server Pages (JSPs), Java Servlets, Java Architecture for XML Binding(JAXB), Log4j, SLF4j, Java Mail API, Java API for XML Processing (JAXP), JasperReports API, iText, Java API for RESTful Web Services (JAX-RS), JSON, CSS, Junit, JDBC
Quick learning ability as well as teamwork spirit and ability to integrate in a multilingual and multicultural environment. Good written and oral skills in both English and French.
Knowledge in the financial and electronic procurement systems is a plus.
