Role: Application Architect/Designer
Location: Brussels, Belgium
Length: 12 month initial
Rate: 300€-350€ per day
Main skills/expertise: Java, Spring, Front End Frameworks, Web Services
Fluent English speaking is mandatory
May need security clearance (SC) at a later stage, so must be eligible for this
Responsibilities:
Architecture and design of information systems.
Aligns the architectural concepts with the business analysis and the business requirements.
Design and development of component architecture and building blocks.
Identifies reusable components and provides alternatives when appropriate.
Analysis of the integration of different information systems.
Data analysis and Datamodelling.
Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture.
Technical interface between the project leaders and the developers.
Production of software architecture documents.
Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with users.
Assistance in the testing, the technical documentation, the deployment, the evaluation and the reporting.
Main requirements/skills:
Fluent English is mandatory
May need security clearance at a later stage, so must be eligible for this
Analysis of requirements, drafting of analysis deliverables, UML modelling, and prototyping.
Java technology and J2EE architectures.
Java tools and frameworks: Spring, Spring MVC, Hibernate, IntelliJ, Eclipse.
Front End frameworks: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Angular JS, JQuery, Bootstrap, Kendo or similar
Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
Web services (WSDL, SOAP, REST, etc.).
Database design and SQL.
Continuous integration and build environment (Jenkins, Hudson, Maven, JUnit or similar )
Desirable requirements/skills:
Oracle Weblogic.
Experience with Business Process Management systems (Enterprise Architect or similar).
Content Management Systems.
RUP (Rational Unified Process), Agile, Scrum or similar.
XML, XSLT, XPath.
