Application Architect/Designer

We are currently recruiting for a Application Architect/Designer for our clients based in Brussels, Belgium -

Typical tasks of an application architect/designer in the IT unit are:

- Design and architecture review of information systems
- Design and development of component architecture and building blocks
- Development and maintenance of software applications and components
- Analysis of the integration of different information systems
- Data analysis and modelling
- Technical coordination for the implementation of the architecture
- Analysis of user requirements and writing of specifications
- Writing of architecture and technical documentation
- Apply security rules, standards and guidelines
- Assist with deployment and configuration of the system
- Apply RUP methodology and best practices
- Participate in meeting with system owners

Job Requirements

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Mandatory skills:

- The candidate must demonstrate in depth knowledge and proven experience in the following technologies:
- JAVA development
- AngularJS - or similar JavaScript Framework
- Coldfusion development
- PHP development
- Experience in the management of Weblogic platform.
- In depth knowledge of Service Oriented and Component Based Architecture
- In depth knowledge of the design and development of web and multi-tier Internet applications
- In depth knowledge of modelling tools (eg UML)
- In depth knowledge of Java
- Good knowledge of the Spring framework
- Good knowledge of HTML/XHTML, XML, XSLT, CSS
- Good knowledge of software development methodologies (preferably RUP)
- Good knowledge of RDBMS and SQL
- Good knowledge of interoperability technology (eg web services, message oriented Middleware, service bus)
- Good knowledge of business process analysis
- Good knowledge of IT systems security principles (especially RBAC approach)
- Good redaction skills
- Ability to give technical presentations
- Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments
- Ability to work in team.
- Ability to work in English (written and oral) and French (oral).
- Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment and experience in team working.
- Knowledge of the existing IT Security frameworks for the development and maintenance of applications

Skills considered as an asset:

- Knowledge of: Eclipse, Weblogic Application Server, Unix, web security.
- Good knowledge of a project management methodology (preferably PM2)

SPECIFIC EXPERTISE

Level 3: Minimum a total of 9 years of experience with one or more of the following: JAVA, PHP, COLDFUSION
