APPLICATION ARCHITECT/DESIGNER - 12 MONTHS - BRUSSELS, BELGIUM
Application Architect/Designer urgently required for one of my clients. This is an initial role of 12 months to be based in Brussels, Belgium.
Responsibility/tasks
- Leads the project's architectural conception: analysis, design, integration, implementation and management of the information technology environment.
- Aligns the architectural concepts with the business analysis and the business requirements.
- Designs the critical components of the architecture solution, including egarchitecture integration,. security rules, infrastructure, adapters, interfaces, guidelines for application
- Performs architectural cost/benefit analysis
- Aligns the project's architecture with the commission enterprise and reference architecture.
- Identifies reusable components and provides alternatives when appropriate.
- He/she will carry out the tasks in an autonomous and pro-active way, with the initiative to organis meetings with the services concerned and the project team.
- He/she will produce all related architectural artefacts for the project following up recommendations from the Corporate Architecture Office.
Required skills
- Experience as software/application architect: mainly SOA Middleware architecture, systems and network architecture, application architecture; applying architecture principles to business needs analysis, drafting of IT architecture documents.
- In-depth knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture
- Experience with web services and XML Technologies
- Experience with deployment of document management systems in large organizations
- A very good command of the English language is mandatory (especially in drafting).
- Experience in application integration (nice to have)
- RUP (Rational Unified Process) or similar (nice to have)
- UML (Unified modelling language) or equivalent (nice to have)
- Oracle technologies (WEBLOGIC, ESB, workflow, etc.) (nice to have)
