Application Architect - Asset Mgmt & Fixed Income Experience

KEY SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE JOB PERFORMANCE:

- Experience in asset management software solutions and business models;
- Experience in Fixed Income is essential;
- Managing solution design through the project life cycle whilst providing structure, supervision and controls;
- Experience of providing solutions designs across varied application platforms;
- Proven ability to convert high level requirements into infrastructure design options;
- Understanding of architecture frameworks (eg TOGAF) including development of target architecture, roadmaps and patterns;
- Experience of defining and presenting architectural strategies at a senior management level;
- Strong Stakeholder management experience;
- Experience of integrating 3rd party products and systems;
- Experience of Barclays Point would be beneficial;
- Experience with Sparx EA would be beneficial.

PRINCIPAL TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Translate business requirements into high level solution designs for assigned change activities and lead the production of project design documentation (ROOM, SOSD, OSD
- Manage the contribution to high level solution design documents from domain infrastructure and data/information architects across the Group;
- Provide technical oversight across the project life cycle to ensure that solutions are implemented as designed;
- Support the Business in identifying and assessing plans and opportunities for proposition development, ensuring that all viable alternatives and design options are explored in full;
- Monitoring and reporting progress as well as identifying risk, issues, risks, assumptions dependencies and design decisions;
- Maintain architecture and technical documentation that describes the solution landscape at a high level, through the use of architectural blueprints and diagrams;
- Create and manage target architecture including vision, patterns, standards and roadmaps, which align with business/IT strategy and vision;
- Active engagement with Infrastructure teams to influence technology direction and exploit opportunities for AAM;
- Provide technical awareness of emerging trends in technology that could impact existing projects, our target architecture and roadmap to architecture team and wider organisation.
