Application Architect - Brussels

Morson International are working with a global consultancy who are looking for an Application Architect to join their team in Brussels. This is a long term contract, minimum of 1 year, which looks like it will extend a number of times. Daily rate EUR425-EUR475

The Application Architect (ColdFusion) will be involved in:

. Architecture and design of information systems
. Review of the architecture of existing systems
. Design and development of architecture components, building blocks (development frameworks, rule engines, error management, caching mechanisms etc.)
. Analysis of the integration of different information systems
. Data analysis and Datamodelling
. Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture
. Technical interface between the project leaders and the developers
. Production of software architecture documents
. Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users
. Assistance during relevant parts of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation and reporting

The successful Application Architect will have:

. Master's degree (minimum 5 years of higher studies after secondary school)
. 11 years of experience in the IT sector
. Excellent knowledge and proven experience of ColdFusion for support of systems and system migration support
. Very good knowledge and proven experience with Service Oriented Architecture and development of Web Services
. Experience with Configuration Management and continuous integration practices and tools like SVN, Git, etc.
. Knowledge of and proven experience with Oracle Database (11g or later) including knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL
. Very good knowledge of and proven experience with Front End frameworks (JQuery, Angular) and script languages (Javascript, Typescript)
. Proven experience with the Eclipse development platform
. Experience using JIRA and Confluence will be an asset

General knowledge & skills:

. Excellent and proven knowledge of service-oriented architecture and design of Web applications with databases
. Experience in cross platform design and services orchestration
. Good knowledge of modelling tools and relational databases (Oracle RDBMS)
. Experience with interoperability solutions (XML, XSD)
. Experience with the use of tools for application life cycle management (SMT, Jira, Wikis etc.)
. Experience with Front End frameworks
. Capability of working in an international/multicultural environment
