Application Architect

Perform, document and assist in planning work activities relating to projects, sub-projects, or processes. Provide technical consultation to Cyber Security personnel. Provide analysis and impact assessments of planned design activities

SKILLS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline and typically 7 to 10 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Experience in configuring Network Equipment (Switches, Firewalls, and Routers) and Servers with a detailed understanding of security configurations.
- Experience configuring intrusion detection systems (IDS) and security event and incident monitoring systems (SIEM)
- Ability to enumerate final execution details from project work breakdown structure and requirements documents and document all work efforts.
- Knowledge of Networks and Active Directory
- Strong problem solving skills
- Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently and work effectively with customers by e-mail, instant messaging (IM), phone and in-person.
- Must be able to acquire and maintain all required Nuclear background investigations
- Very Knowledgeable with Local Area Network (LAN) Technology and family of Ethernet and VPN, IPSec, and L3 Firewalls.
- Solid experience evaluating security technologies and solutions in support of the acquisition and deployment of security software, systems, and services.
- Ability to work with all staffing departments to assimilate technical guidance and incorporate it into plans and procedures
- Solid capability to assess application and web architectures and operating systems for vulnerabilities and develop appropriate security countermeasures
- Ability to demonstrate analytical skills, technical knowledge, and practical application of cyber and information security principles to business leaders and technical staff.
- Experience communicating with all levels of staff, including senior management and project teams.
- Ability to assist the project manager in refining granular technical procedures and plans and procedures, especially testing, and conduct testing or supervise testing.
