App Support Team Leader

My client a prominent public sector body in South London are urgently looking for an Applications Support Team Leader to supervise a team of between 5-10 people. Interviews and assessments are being conducted on either Tuesday 9th October and Monday 15th October.

This is a permanent vacancy with paying a MAXIMUM, NON NEGOTIABLE salary of £39k

Essential Background

At least 2+ years in an Applications Support team leadership capacity

As this role involves an 80:20% split between management and technical work hence it is essential that in current/most recent role you are/were still involved in 2nd/3rd line application support in a hands-on capacity.

Local government experience

Experience of supporting some/ any of the following applications would be preferred :

Oracle Financials,Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft CRM Dynamics, Midland iTrent HR system, Oracle E-Business Suite, eSpatial iSmart (GIS application), AIMS, PAYE.Net, Northgate Rev&Bens, IClipse,Contender, ROCC, Acolaid,

Role Duties

Management responsibilities including performance reviews and capacity planning

Manage and deliver a high performing and effective systems development team service aligned with the ICT strategy and the Information Management strategy

Manage, implement and support ICT development through the application of a range of skills including:

2nd and 3rd line applications support

Software development and testing

Database administration

Backups and disaster recovery (in-house hosted)

Complex systems administration

Report writing

Systems analysis, design and programming

Development project management

Training needs analysis and design

Requirements specification and process design

Testing and implementation

Development team lead

Maintain a high quality approach to systems development through the application of strategies, standards, policies, methodologies, systems analysis, software, quality assurance, testing, implementation and application support

Provide a professional, proactive and commercially focused approach to systems development services across all departments through the agreed service standards
