AP Financial Analyst

DESCRIPTION

Financial Analyst: Critical Vendor Team (FA with solid negotiation skills required)

Responsible for vetting phone calls from vendors inquiring about overdue payments-- must be an excellent negotiator to talk with the vendor to secure the products so as to not impact patient care while payment can be worked out at the Back End. Will also be providing analytical/technical business support for a major project and department projects supporting Accounts Payable, Purchasing and Supply and Materials Management. Under the overall general guidance of a Director and/or Manager, responsible for researching data, performing analyses, presenting results, and making recommendations. (60 % phones/40% analysis) Acts as program/policy specialist to assist department and/or cross-divisional groups with assignments/initiatives as required. Collaborates with functional/department subject matter experts in testing and implementing process improvements.
Under general supervision, creates narrative and quantitative reports, queries and data mining using advanced excel (v-look ups, formulas, pivot tables, macros), SQL, and Access are a ++.
Interacts with executives and employees across multiple organizations, as well as external representatives, serving as a liaison for Accounts Payable, Purchasing & Supply, and Materials Management to discuss complex administrative matters, business processes, and project activities to facilitate department goal attainment. Participates in various special projects.

DEGREE: BACHELORS DEGREE DESIRED

- EXCELLENT EXCEL (PIVOTS, MACROS, QUERIES) ACCESS, SQL ARE A PLUS,
- MUST HAVE EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS WRITTEN AND VERBAL.
- MUST BE CLEAR AND CONCISE/A BIT MORE THICK SKINNED TO NOT TAKE THE CALLS PERSONALLY.
- GOOD LISTENING SKILLS AND MUST HAVE NEGOTIATION EXPERIENCE, IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE RESOURCEFUL TO GATHER INFORMATION FOR DATA MINING/ANALYSIS, ABILITY TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY ONCE DIRECTED, AND HAVE PAST A/P EXPERIENCE
