Projektbeschreibung

JOB PURPOSE

1.1 To promote and progress the Council's response to dealing with Anti Social Behaviour (ASB) in the City.
1.2 In accordance with the Council's policy and procedures, to be the lead officer in resolving individual cases of ASB
1.3 To respond to enquiries and reported complaints of ASB and serious neighbour nuisance and co-ordinate any investigations of the same.
1.4 To action agreed solutions working in partnership with key agencies, including progressing and taking appropriate enforcement action against perpetrators where appropriate.
1.5 To advise customers on the Council's policies and procedures in relation to ASB.

MAIN ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

2.1 To ensure that the Senior Anti-social Behaviour Officer is kept regularly appraised of all the ASB cases allocated to you as lead officer.
2.2 To ensure that reported cases of ASB are followed up in consultation with key agencies and that progress is reported to the Problem Solving Group.
2.3 To conduct interviews with members of the public in their homes or in other locations. These will be done in liaison with the Police, City Homes and City RSLs and/or other key agencies as part of the evidence gathering process.
2.4 To prepare and maintain detailed records and case files for use in legal proceedings or other action.
2.5 To liaise with the Council's lawyers on cases and agree and expedite any actions.
2.6 To ensure that the terms of the ASB County Protocol and Information Sharing Protocol are met.
2.7 To make requests to agencies over the disclosure of information in preparation for legal proceedings, such disclosures to be made in accordance with the County Information Sharing Protocol.
2.8 To prepare witness statements for use in legal proceedings.
2.9 To prepare prosecution files and where necessary, to present cases in Court and/or give evidence in Court.
2.10 To support the Council's Lawyers in Court
2.11 To ensure that any witnesses attending Court are provided with the necessary advice and support.

THE PROBLEM SOLVING GROUP.

2.12 To attend and bring cases to the relevant Problem Solving Group.
2.13 To ensure that agreed actions arising from the Problem Solving Group are followed up and expedited.
2.14 To set up and manage any special case conferences convened with key agencies to discuss specific ASB problems and ensure that an action plan is agreed and expedited.
2.15 To discuss with key agencies and agree the terms of any Warning Letters and Acceptable
Behaviour Contracts (ABCs)
2.16 To prepare Warning Letters and ABCs and serve the same through joint visits with Police/Housing Officers and any other appropriate agencies.
2.17 To work with agencies to ensure clients maintain the terms of their Warning Letters/ABCs
2.18 To monitor any legal decisions/actions taken to stop ASB and NN by the appropriate mechanisms to ensure compliance with the terms and conditions.
2.19 To enforce any breaches of the terms and conditions.
2.20 To ensure that the Council's ASB database of cases is kept up to date recording all actions taken.

LIAISON

2.20 To liaise with City Homes/City Registered Social Landlords on cases in accordance with the Council's policy reporting any accidents and/or unsafe or hazardous conditions to management; and to do everything reasonable to prevent personal injury to one's self, fellow workers and members of the public.
3.2.6 To be responsible for identifying your personal training and development needs in discussion with your line manager. To participate in any training and development activities identified and agreed as relevant to your personal development and/or your development in the job.
3.2.7 To ensure confidentiality at all times in all matters relating to any work or communication within the Department and the City Council.
3.2.8 Carry out any other duties as required by your line manager from time to time in accordance with the grading of the post.
