Antenna RF Engineer

An RF Antenna Design Engineer is required for a 6-month contract role based in Stevenage
paying £35.00p/hr Limited Company Rate D.O.E.

Our client is a world leader in the design and manufacture of satellite systems. Their activities cover complete civil and military telecommunications and Earth observation systems, science and navigation programmes, together with avionics and a wide range of space equipment and associated ground infrastructure.

We are currently recruiting for an RF Antenna Design Engineer to join our team.
Job Profile:
*RF design, analysis and verification of satelite antennas using in - house and proprietary software packages
*RF Analysis of antenna performance in the space environment, assessing impact of thermal and manufacturing distortions on performance and scattering, coupling and other interactions with the spacecraft and other antennas on it.
*Provision of RF Support to the test of antenna feed chains and antenna assemblies.
*Active involvement in the integrated design team including support to Drawing office, mechanical and thermal design
*Generating presentation of material for design reviews and presenting material at meetings
*Trade off studies of satellite antenna concepts. Participation in proposal activities. Contribution to R&D programmes
Qualifications and/or Skills

Essential - Electrical engineering experience
Desirable - Masters in Microwave or RF Engineering
Previous experience

Essential - Previous experience of designing reflector antennas and antennas.

Desirable - Experience of working in a team in a space environment.
