Angular/Javascript Contract Developer

A measurement systems consultancy in Newbury is looking for an Angular.js developer to help with delivering projects to a number of clients. The contract is initially for 3 months with a possible extension to 6 months.

Working with James, the founder and currently the only employee, you will be helping to execute on the web and IT aspects of measurement data systems for enterprise and SME customers. Focused on distributed monitoring or industrial IoT applications, the projects offer a unique challenge in data management and visualisation.

Require Tasks:

- Assistance in completion of two projects providing web interfaces to distributed monitoring systems.
- Work on additions and bug fixes to the existing code base.
- Working using software engineering best practices such as unit testing to ensure the quality of the solutions.

Required Skills:

- Angular.js experience.
- Node.js experience desirable.
- UX experience, especially when it comes to data visualisation.
- Additional library experience would be beneficial (Currently using D3 and Leaflet).
- Ability to work somewhat independently and self motivation due to the small size of the company.

Working Arrangements:

- £300 - 400/day depending on experience.
- The consultancy is based in Newbury, Berkshire and locality to here is beneficial but some work can be carried out off-site.
- The clients are in Warwick and Milton Keynes so some travel here is to be expected.
