POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Works under the supervision of the CRNA with the support of the O.R. Nurse Manager and Anesthesiologist. Provides ancillary duties and assists with patient care as directed. Assists Anesthesia staff by preparing supplies; calibrating and checking anesthesia equipment; and programming devices. Operates Cell Saver and other specialized equipment. Cleans and maintains designated areas and equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalent and an Associate degree in a state approved Anesthesia Technology or Surgical Technology program required. If not ASATT certified at time of hire, certification will be required within one year after becoming eligible for certification. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills required.
