ANDROID EMBEDDED SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER

6 MONTH CONTRACT

€50-80/HOUR (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE)

THE ROLE

-Gather technical requirements and translate them into clear module specifications;
-Develop drivers (in C) for the Linux Kernel to support hardware on our Embedded platforms;
-Develop and maintain the Android (AOSP) Middleware Architecture (C, C++ and Java);
-Integrate software components delivered by hardware vendors and Platform-OS customers;
-Write test scenario's (in python) according to the TDD (Test Driven Development) principles for our automated regression test framework;
-Investigate issues via tests, experiments and trials to identify root causes of issues.

THE INDIVIDUAL

-Minimum of 3-5 years of commercial experience in C, C++ and Java development in an Embedded and complex multi-threaded environment;
-Proven experience within u-boot (bootloader) and Linux Kernel development for ARM SoC's;
-Android Middleware programming experience;
-Experience with version control using GIT and Gerrit;
-Ability to read electrical schematics, being able to make small changes at hardware level;
-Experienced with debugging tooling and measurement equipment (multimeter and scope);
-Ability to work in an innovation driven and highly changing environment;
