Android Software Developer

*OUR CLIENT IS THE LEADING COMPUTER COMPONENTS MANUFACTURER SEEKING A SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER WITH EXPERIENCE IN EMBEDDED DEVICES.*

Contract to last 3-18 months. The project is likely to involve software at all levels of the Android and Linux stack, necessary to support a Human interface device.

REQUIRED:

- 5+ years of industry software development experience
- Demonstrated delivery of one or more successful software products
- Significant experience with Android and/or Linux stacks
- Experience developing Linux device drivers
- Excellent C
- Fluent Java
- Solid Bash Scripting
- Good understanding of Makefile language, build/system tools and software
- B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or related discipline

BONUS/NICE TO HAVE:

- Experience with SPI, I2C, or USB Kernel subsystems
- Experience in API design
- Experience in porting low-level code across hardware platforms (drivers, system utilities)
- "Hacker" mentality
- Experience working at startups
- "Can do" attitude
- Experience with sensors and/or signal processing
