High quality Android Developer required for global travel organisation based in Central London.

The Android Developer will be developing a pioneering Android app set to revolutionise the online travel marketplace through a combination of groundbreaking features and game-changing innovations made possible via various new features rolled out in Android L and Android M.

The Android Developer will be working as part of a highly collaborative Agile team focussed around XP, Scrum, TDD and BDD, who ensures that every line of code they write is modular, maintainable, well-crafted and reusable.

The successful Android Developer will have strong experience of working on high volume, highly scalable, speedy applications, as well as solid awareness of computer science principles like data structures, memory management and algorithms.

The successful Android Developer will have some or all of the following:

- Advanced Android SDK/Java skills
- Strong knowledge of Android API capabilities at different levels, framework components and life cycles
- Experience with various Agile methodologies - particularly TDD, BDD, XP and Scrum
- A common-sense approach to software testing (ideally using a test-first approach)
- Experience of interfacing with Back End technologies like HTTP REST/JSON
- NFC
- Wearable experience
- A genuine interest in UI design and usability on the Android platform
- Open source contributions
- Github
