Android Developer

Android Developer to join an award winning, ecommerce social network start-up. As Android Developer you will work on projects using the latest cutting edge technologies, building new and exciting Android apps. The Android Developer role is for you if highly experienced in Android development, having published an Android app previously, with a desire to join a company where your ideas can thrive with quality career prospects.

Responsibilities:
*Design and build state of the art Android applications, working across the business to design and deliver features
*Testing for robustness, such as edge usability, reliability and edge cases
*Improve apps performance and work on bug fixes
*Ensure the continuous delivery of quality products by discovering, evaluating and implementing new technologies

Required skills:
*4 years' experience in Android development, having published at least one unique Android app to the store
*Strong knowledge of mobile development process, including project creation, coding, QA and app store deployment
*Good knowledge of Android app architecture and design patterns
*Previously worked with Android SDK
*Understand pragmatism and simplicity needed in code and strong knowledge of OOD
*Keep up to date with latest mobile trends and emerging technologies
*Experience with external data sources and APIs
*Experience with code unit-tests

Desired skills:
*Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, Go and Ruby
*A passion for development and seeing your own ideas come to fruition
