I am currently hiring an Android Developer/Engineer for a very exciting and long term project with a Global client in Brussels. This is for an ASAP start and the contract will be on a 6 month rolling basis.

The client is seeking an Android Developer/Engineer who possesses breadth and depth, leadership and strategic thought. The Android Developer/Engineer must have advanced knowledge of the Android platform to architect and create secure phone and tablet applications.

Android Developer/Engineer must have expert knowledge in writing reusable libraries. You will be working with other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products is essential.

The right Android Develeopr/Engineer will have the following:

- Strong knowledge of Android SDK and Android development tools
- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Understanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to Back End services
- Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries
- Premier coding, architecture, and organizational skills
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
- Excellent time management skills demonstrated by the ability to execute on multiple projects while working on a tight deadline
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodology (Jira sprints, daily meeting, estimation meeting and retrospective meeting)
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Familiarity with build tools such as Ant, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory
- Able to demonstrate previous experience of Android development
- Strong knowledge of JUnit, Espresso
