Android Applications Engineer - C, C++, Java

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
In a fast paced, product environment, the candidate will work leading a team spread across multiple geographies to integrate and develop Smartphone applications.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The candidate will lead and contribute to software architecture, creating prototypes and productizing end solutions. The candidate will document software specifications, design and develop software, create test plans, validate software and deploy high-quality end products with release plans and software usage specifications. The candidate will engage with customers and end users to fix bugs and provide software support for end products. The candidate will have the opportunity to quickly build a strong network and be part of a highly competent and tightly integrated team. Flexibility and experience leading dispersed technical teams to deliver end solutions are key skills required. Other responsibilities may include developing innovative solutions to problems using your technical skills and good judgment.

CANDIDATE SUMMARY:
Ideal candidate should possess 5+ years of engineering experience in software development & leadership of application integration efforts in the mobile wireless handset industry. A BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering or Computer Science is required. At least 2 years work experience working on android based smartphones. 2-4 years of experience in programming in C/C++/Java. Progressive technical and engineering leadership experience in mobile wireless hardware and software integration, validation and test, along with the technical understanding of leading edge cellular technologies are required. Candidate must have demonstrated leadership experience in a multi-cultural, multi-site environment and must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and must have the ability to influence people across the entire hierarchy of the organization. Knowledge of Linux.
